| The War on Drugs Sucks! |
| 11.24.07 (8:05 pm) [edit] |
|
The "War on Drugs" sucks and is a phenomenal waste of time, money, and human lives. Even the ugliness of the drug business can be laid at the feet of the prohibitionists, whose policies make the obscene profits possible.
The War on Drugs is bad for everyone except drug enforcement, drug cartels, and the prison-industrial complex. Although some of my political views can still be construed by some to be vaguely "left-leaning," I have to say that the lame-ass losers, whores, punks, and sell-outs who pass for "liberals" these days are too timid to take a stand on this issue, and only a few figures on the right have had enough guts to speak out against this obscenity;Ron Paul and Bob Barr, for instance.
Drug enforcement and the parasitical "treatment" industry are raking in the big bucks, while the rest of us lose out. (While I believe that treatment should be available to all who want it, forcing people into treatment with the threat of prison is nothing but extortion).
America needs to stop sweeping its problems under the rug, and locking up its deviants in gulags that have surpassed those of communist era Russia in size. The price of totalitarianism will be paid by all, not just those it proposes to protect its citizen/slaves from. Even the most loyal servants of a totalitarian state are not safe from it, and that's exactly where we are headed, if this lunacy isn't dealt with decisively, and soon. Contact your elected officials to day, and let them know that the "War on Drugs" must stop.

Yes I'm back, I've been out of prison since July 3rd and I'll be making an effort to keep a continuous stream of quality weirdness and deviant opinions coming.
